RST Net leggur áherslu á jafnvægi milli vinnu og einkalífs. Verkefni fyrirtækisins geta stundum kallað á fjarveru frá heimili, en þegar unnið er nær heimabyggð er tekið sérstakt tillit til þess. Við leggjum áherslu á sanngjörn kjör og góðan aðbúnað.


Reglulega eru haldnir fjölskylduviðburðir þar sem makar, börn og barnabörn eru velkomin – til
dæmis jólaball með jólasveinum eða sumarhátíð á höfuðstöðvunum.


Starfsmannafélagið er öflugt og skipuleggur nokkra viðburði á ári, allt frá golfhermi og pílu til
veitingahúsaferða. Á tveggja til þriggja ára fresti er boðið upp á árshátíðarferð erlendis, til dæmis til
Prag eða Lissabon, en á milli þess eru haldnar árshátíðir eða jólahlaðborð.


Við trúum því að ánægja, samvera og jákvæð menning stuðli að betri árangri – og meiri gleði í starfi.

Facilities and equipment

RST Nets operates in new, custom-designed premises at Álfhella 6 in Hafnarfjörður. The premises are tailored to our needs and offer unique facilities for the inspection of power transformers. There is high ceiling height and a new overhead crane with a lifting capacity of up to 60 tons, which enables us to safely undertake large-scale projects.

We also have a wide range of specialized instrumentation and measuring equipment at our disposal. These include measuring instruments from OMICRON, three oil purifiers from Micafluid – including the Micafluid VOP090, which is the most powerful of its kind in Iceland and ensures cleaning with a higher capacity than any other device on the market.

Lifelong learning

RST Net encourages employees to develop their knowledge and skills. We offer employees courses related to security and rights and support those who want to gain further education or specialized rights. This way, everyone has the opportunity to continue to develop in their work and be well prepared for the company's diverse projects.

Career development

At RST Net, employees have the opportunity to develop their careers by participating in diverse projects and gaining experience in different areas. We believe that the best career development occurs in everyday work, where new tasks, responsibilities and experience strengthen each person’s skills. Employee stories show that
collaboration and practical learning in real projects are the key to growing with the company.

An example of such development can be seen in Bjarki Gunnarsson, who started working as a welder in the distribution voltage workshop but now, five years later, leads a team of ten people as a department manager in the service department. Another example is Steinn Þórhallsson, who started as a mechanic when the company worked on the Vatnsfellsvirkjun power plant. Over the course of 25 years, he has built up expertise, including MR Reinhausen’s rights for step change inspections, and today manages the RST Net branch in the Vestmannaeyjar Islands.
